May --- Mayapple Mayapples, also known as mandrake, are curious flowers, growing hidden under umbrella-like foliage, as if they are shy and almost fearful of the sun. Underneath this hiding place is a single delicate white flower. I photographed the flowers, and manipulated the images in Photoshop. Then created a small quilt. When taht quilt was done, I scanned it and printed a small copy onto fabric, adding sheer fabric embellishments, stitching and crazy quilted borders. To see the original quilt and photo, click here.
