Shattered tranquility

The creek that runs by our house is beautiful and peaceful. But the serenity can occasionally be shattered by gunfire in the woods, or the noise of nearby logging. A cut-up photo embellished with tulle and free-motion needle lace mimics the effects such disruptions can have on the usual solitude. Decorative machine stitches attach all the elements.
