I photographed this roof of many gables in Lynchburg, VA. Never had I seen anything quite like it. The actual house was painted blue and white but I experimented with designing my own painted lady and changed the colors. I think the result looks a bit like a house one might find at the beach, faded from the sun.

This quilt was made, embellished and quilted on a Janome 6500 Pro
